CMPS 5353 - Graduate Topics in Computer Graphics and Visualization

Prerequisite(s): CMPS 3013 and one semester of calculus.
Advanced studies of the theoretical underpinnings of computer graphics and the application to two-and three-dimensional modeling and rendering. Topics include but are not limited to graphics and visualization fundamentals, modeling and rendering, animation, image compression and file formats, and specialized graphics hardware. A variety of programming projects are required utilizing both specialized software and general-purpose languages. Includes research components. May be repeated for credit with the approval of the department chair.
