EDBE 4203 - Implementation of EC-6 Dual Language Curriculum Models 3 (3-0)
This course addresses programmatic, cultural, academic, and linguistic considerations for the creation, implementation, and maintenance of dual language curriculum models in EC-6 settings. In the course students will explore and implement various research-based teaching methods and strategies used in effective programs. It will also cover key components of dual language teaching and learning, including curriculum alignment (e.g., horizontal, vertical, spiral), language separation, and parent collaboration.

A concise overview of structure and function of the human body. Anatomical terminology, cellular basis of life, tissues, the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems, including sense organs. Course is for students pursuing MSU majors in nursing, dental hygiene, radiologic sciences, radiologic technology, respiratory care, and social work and may not be transferable to non-MSU health sciences programs which require other specific science courses in the core. Concurrent laboratory participation with animal dissection required.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2114 with a grade of C or better.
A basic survey of major phyla of the Kingdom Animalia to include anatomy, physiology, ecology, nutrition, reproduction, disease agents, economic impacts, classification/taxonomy, unique characteristics, and life cycles. The structure and function of various cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems and their interrelationships in different groups of animals will be comparatively examined.

Introduction to statistical methods for the analysis of problems encountered in business and economics. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, sampling and sampling distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and simple and multiple regression and correlation.
