Moffett Library

Moffett Library, named in honor of the late State Senator George Moffett, is housed in a three-story building completed in 1964. A major addition and renovation were completed in 1986, followed by a renovation and repurposing of space in 2019. The library houses the Tutoring & Academic Support Program’s Learning Center, a Media Library, technology enhanced group and individual study rooms, a computer lab and general open study space. The Special Collections Room displays the Nolan A. Moore III Heritage of Print collection. Open stacks give users free access to books.

The library is a member of OCLC through its regional network, AMIGOS. The TexShare Library Card provides faculty and student check-out privileges at libraries of state-supported institutions. Primo, the resources discovery tool supported by the Ex Libris Group, provides comprehensive searching for books, media items and journal articles simultaneously.

Library holdings include over 600,000 volume equivalents, including periodicals, and microforms as well as a variety of non-print materials. Since 1964, Moffett Library has been a partial U.S. government depository. For access to Moffett Library’s homepage and resources go to: https://msutexas.edu/library/.
