HIST 4003 - Australia and the World

3 (3-0)

A transnational history of Australia, its place in the world, and its relationships with the British Empire, the United States, Greater Asia, and other international entities. Major themes consider Australia’s place in the global community, European and Aboriginal relations, the Outback in a global economy, and the Wild West in Australian popular culture.  A research project that exhibits solid historical research and analysis is required.  May not be taken if student has received credit for HIST 2003 .
