POLS 4453 - Political Protest and Revolutions

Prerequisite(s): Six hours of political science.

An examination of the study of political protest concentrating on the dynamics of the interaction between the regime and the dissidents. This course provides students with both a factual background of modern political revolutions and protest movements; the course also examines such theoretical issues as the collective action problem, relative depravation and resource mobilization theory.
