KNES 4973 - Internship in Recreation, Leisure or Sport

3 semester hours

Prerequisite(s): Senior standing, grade of C or better in KNES 3203, 3603, 3803, and 4513 or 4543; and satisfaction of the Writing Proficiency Requirement. All prerequisites must be completed before approval is given to enroll in the internship experience.

Structured learning experience designed for students to observe professionals in the field, demonstrate leadership and organizational skills, develop professional contacts, accumulate practical experiences and knowledge beneficial for employment and career advancement. Students are required to complete 160 hours at the selected/approved site along with meeting other course requirements. A written report and employer evaluation are also required.
