This course examines women and gender in society through the lens of feminist political theories and movements. It explores the connection between social movements and theory and critically analyzes the intersection of systems of inequality in the lives of women and the feminist project. It examines the complexities of patriarchy and uses feminist theories to explore the conceptions of equality and dismantling systems of discrimination and oppression that feminist theories produce.
