A major addition and renovation were completed in 1986, followed by a renovation and repurposing of the space in 2019. The library has technology enhanced individual and group study rooms, a computer lab, and open study space. On display in the Special Collections Room is the Nolan A. Moore III Heritage of Print Collection. The Special Collections Room also has MSU Texas Archives, faculty papers, and other rare materials. Tutoring and Academic Support Programs is located on the first floor of the library and provides drop-in tutoring support for most core classes, supplemental instruction, and first-year seminars.
Moffett Library has numerous online databases and resources, as well as media equipment for check-out. Users can search the library’s online catalog for books, media items, and journal articles simultaneously. For research materials that are not available at Moffett Library, the Interlibrary Loan department offers document delivery and the ability to check out items from participating libraries.
