Prerequisite(s): Six hours of history or consent of the chair.

How did American colonists go from being proud British subjects to revolutionaries in a mere decade?  This course considers the causes, course, character, and consequences of the American Revolution – an event that ushered in vast political, social, and economic transformations for some members of American society while entrenching inequality for others.
