RADS 3773 - Radiobiology and Protection


3 (3-0)

A study of the theories and principles of the interactions of ionizing radiation with biological systems, acute and long-term effects of ionizing radiation exposure, typical medical exposure levels, methods for measuring and monitoring radiation, and methods for protecting personnel and patients from excessive exposure in both the diagnostic and therapeutic settings are the focus of this course.
