HUMN 4033 - Humanities: Renaissance through Realism 3 (3-0)
Prerequisite(s): Six hours of English beyond Communication Core or consent of chair.
(Former prerequisite: ENGL 1123 or consent of instructor.)
A study of the inter-relationships of literature, music, art, and philosophy in an historical context with emphasis on the Renaissance, the Baroque style, the Enlightenment, Romanticism, and Realism (fifteenth through late-nineteenth centuries). Individual research and evidence of the ability to synthesize the expressions of the different art forms within a cultural period will be required. May not be taken if student has received credit for HUMN 2033 .
