A humanities course taken at the 2000 level may not be repeated at the 4000 level or vice-versa.
Students may use the same literature, humanities, and foreign language courses to fulfill B.A. and core requirements, as well as major and/or minor requirements in these fields.
Two years of one foreign language. International students who are native speakers of a language other than English may satisfy this requirement by petitioning the World Languages and Cultures Department to verify proficiency in another language with the major college dean’s approval. This waiver applies to all degree programs. A foreign language waiver does not exempt a student from any Core Curriculum component areas.
