Courses for a Major in Finance - 30 semester hours
Plus 12 semester hours selected from:
Four courses (five courses if ECON 4643 is taken in the Professional Business Core).
Advanced Accounting
Students can choose to take up to six semester hours of advanced accounting for the required twelve hours above.
Student Managed Investment Fund Option
Students in the Student Managed Investment Fund will be able to complete the traditional Finance degree plan or complete the new Finance-Student Managed Investment Fund degree plan. For this option, the courses in the major are: Courses for a Major in Finance (Student Managed Investment Fund option) - 30 semester hours
Plus 9 semester hours selected from:
Nine semester hours (three courses) Advanced Accounting
Students can choose to take up to six semester hours of advanced accounting for part of the required nine hours above.
Approved Electives
Electives approved by student’s advisor to bring total to 120 semester hours. Developmental courses and EXPH activity courses cannot be counted as electives.
Note:
Students pursuing a B.B.A. degree with a major in Finance must earn a grade of C or higher in FINC 3353 , FINC 3733 , FINC 4653 , and FINC 4733 taken at MSU or transferred from another college or university. |
