CRJU 3233 - Specialized Offender Typologies

This course provides a basic overview of offender categories that require specialized correctional services and/or considerations. Both enhanced security and treatment programming are explored with a variety of specialized offender typologies. These specialized groups include but are not limited to mentally ill offenders, sex offenders, domestic batterers, elderly offenders, offenders with communicable and/or sexually transmitted diseases, as well as members of security threat groups.
