MCOM 1553 - Gender, Sexuality and Media 3(3-0)
This course focuses on the interactive relationships between gender and communication in contemporary society. During the course we explore the multiple ways communication in our society creates and perpetuates gender roles; we consider how individuals understand gender differences in public and private settings and how this affects success, satisfaction, and self-esteem; and we connect gender theory and research to our professional and personal experiences.
